Name:

At Boot Top Aussies we have dedicated our lives to breeding quality Toy and Mini Aussies. We enjoy showing, breeding, and having all of our dogs in our home as our companions. We work very hard to make sure that every puppy that leaves Boot Top Aussies has been properly socialized. We feel that the first 8 weeks of a puppies life with us is the most important of their entire lives. We work very hard to make sure that our puppies have every tool necessary to quickly fit into their new families life styles. To us, there is no better satisfaction than getting that call each and every time we send out a puppy letting us know how much they enjoy their new fur-family member! We raise our puppies in our home so they are used to all of the daily noises and events that take place in a normal home as soon as their ears are open! We just love the puppies! They are the joy of our lives.

Boot Top Babies

Just an update on babies at Boot Top. Pocket's Some Beach, or "Stella" as we call her, will have her litter turning 4 weeks tomorrow. It is an exceptional litter. 4 females and two males. All are doing well. The babies have all been eating mash since before they opened their eyes. We grind kibble in a blender, then add a scoup of powdered goats milk and a scoup of Puppy Gold all mixed with warm water to make a mash. Then we add a few drops of honey and stir. They are at the really cute stage. They are starting to use a litter box already! We have a kiddy wadding pool that we have cut the sides down on and have wood shavings in. They are already climbing into the pool to potty. They are starting to play with each other and with toys. I just love to watch them start to get their own personalities. We will be having a second litter of puppies soon. Blondie is due to whelp this coming week-end. She is big as can be. I will be taking her to the vet on Friday for an x-ray to see just how many puppies we should be expecting and to make sure everything looks normal. I will let everyone know as soon as she whelps! We just can't wait to see her puppies. She is our newest edition to Boot Top Aussies, so we are very excited to have our first litter out of her. It should be an exciting week-end at Boot Top Aussies!

Getting Started

Hello!
This is the beginning of a blog for BOOT TOP AUSSIES!
We have had several requests for a blog so everyone can keep up on on the events taking place at Boot Top. We hope this will make it easier for everyone to stay current on our progress. The most important purpose of the BOOT TOP BLOG is to share information and keep in touch with everyone. We have had a extremely busy spring. Boot Top Aussies moved to a new location more suited for our
fur-family. We are ancious for spring to arrive and the grass to get green. We live in Iowa, so we have been snow covered since November! Winters are white in Iowa, but spring is Beautiful in our part of the country. We are looking forward to getting outside and getting our new acerage set for our dogs and to watch puppies playing in the yard. I have been spending these last few cold days adding a few new pages to our website. http://www.boottopaussies.com/ I look forward to adding to this blog on a regular basis, and to hear back from all of you!
